Well well well…I’m finally posting after what seems like an age. I started back at college on Monday and forgot how busy things get. I’m going to Berlin for the weekend and had to organise the trip for 24 of us, so that’s been taking up most of my time. I’m part of the Visual Arts Society which has been very productive this year. My job on the committee is to organise a trip abroad to look at arty things. I thought it would be so easy, but looking after 24 people has proven very difficult! I’m delighted to be visiting Berlin again because last time I didn’t get to do enough. Soooali.com is a month old on Sunday, so I thought I would celebrate by sharing some old photos. They contain some from my old Blogspot site, breakfast I made for M and my legs in the magazine!

My photographic debut! I thought I would share these with you, because I find them really interesting. Nudie are a Swedish brand of clothing who mainly specialise in jeans (or ‘yeans’ as the Swedes would say). The denim is Italian made and of really good quality. They have many different fits, which are all unisex. So you can get skinnies, high waisted or baggy. Ok, so why am I sharing this with you? Well they have two kinds of denim, washed and unwashed. It’s the unwashed jeans that I’m interested in. Basically you wear them for at least six months without washing. Then when you do wash them, the dye is drained from the most worn parts, making the creases totally unique to you. M wore his last pair for just over a year without washing and only wore different trousers for about 20 of those days! They stank. But the results were fantastic and you can even see the outline his iPhone made in his front pocket. Anyway, here are the pictures I took of the jeans after they were washed (to my delight!). This is my little tribute to a gentleman, best friend and wonderful photographer.
The first picture shows them on day one when they are new and is taken from google. The rest are my own.

I travelled to Paris during the summer, when I got this top. I was nearly about to leave it there, but my two lovely lady friends wouldn’t let me. I hadn’t bought anything so far on the trip and I was really frustrated. So I decided to just get it, which I’m really happy about now! It’s the kind of thing I like to wear when I’m going out, but I’m frozen and don’t wanna expose all. The photos pick it up only a little bit, but parts if it are shiny gold, like tin foil. When you ‘shake shake’, it comes to life.
Top from Episode, Paris. Leggings from Topshop.

I’m totally blown away by these photos taken by Sølve Sundsbø for V magazine. I hope the day comes when people aspire to be like these women. Putting up personal photos all the time is quite nerve wracking because I’m always trying to portray the right image. I don’t want anyone to get the impression that I think I’m great, because I don’t. I know what height and size I am, I know exactly how I look, more than anyone. I am certainly less than perfect and that takes real courage to put up these photos for all to see. But I do it because I love fashion and I want to share it with my friends and other bloggers. When I saw the girls in this shoot I was inspired; they look incredible. I feel sometimes like I don’t have the right to blog, because I don’t have the perfect body or the money to spend on clothes, but really I’m proof that anyone can do it if they have the will.
There are loads more photos at models.com. Here you will find the rest of the shoot along with the others that feature in V Magazine’s ‘Size Issue’.
